Blade Wobbles

Problem:  Blade is mounted on a defective saw.

Remedy:  Check saw for defects. Make sure blade is run at correct rpm. Check blade collar diameters(must be same on both sides). Make sure blade is not bent as a result of dropping or twisting in a cut.

Cracked Segment

Problem:  Blade is too hard for material being cut.

Remedy:  Use correct blade with a softer bond.

Arbor Hole Out of Round

Problem:  Arbor hole is worn badly out of round due to improper installation.

Remedy:  Make sure blade collar is properly tightened. Make sure blade is mounted on proper diameter spindle. Make sure blade collars are not worn or dirty, not allowing proper tightening. On concrete saws make sure pinhole slides over the pin drive properly.

Undercutting

Problem:  Eroding of the steel core that supports the segment, causing the segment to eventually fall off during cutting.

Remedy:  Provide adequate water flow to the steel center and the area being cut to remove the abrasive slurry. Provide undercut protection in the form of kicker and slant segments.
